Welcome to our website.  This site is a free and open forum for the sharing of ideas on issues of social relevance.  This site is dedicated to the cause of freedom and the maintenance of that freedom despite our government's best efforts to diminish it.  This website is also a celebration of our constitution, the first of its kind in all the world and to this day the document that continues to stand as the promise of this nation's founders as the guarantee that each of us has a right to our voice and to make it be heard.  

Please take a moment to sign up and participate in our forums and comment on articles and blogs.  We want to hear what you have to say regardless of whether it be in favor or in criticism, every voice shared can serve to make us all better understood to one another.

Fix Wall Street?

If the Government is willing to GIVE this money to the institution in question to "fix" ( patch ) the problem why don't they simply give it to the people? I would imagine that 700 Billion dollars given out evenly to every tax paying citizen over the age of 18 would amount to a hefty sum. If they were to tax that at 30%, WELL 30% of it goes right back to the government, the rest would go to... guess what, buy houses, pay off credit cards, pay off cars, etc. Though Im sure someone is rolling their eyes at this it sure seems to make a lot more sense than just throwing money to the wolves. After all where else on earth aside from stock markets can money simply dissappear! My knowledge of physics tells me that matter can not be created or destroyed, however Wall Street seems to make money materialize and vanish everyday, millions and millions of dollars... sounds like its safer in my wallet.
